Dutch Tiles - Crocus

So, I did this to give as a Christmas gift this year and it seems like I've said this after almost all my projects, but this is my favourite piece yet! It took a long time to complete because there was a lot of competition for my time this summer and fall, but it will definitely not be my last tiles project. Yes, I realize I made a major mistake that anyone who has done this one will pick out immediately, but I can live with it and the recipients will never know. And yes, I realize I reversed the positioning of two tiles, but does it really matter when all is said and done? I don't think so. In the end I absolutely love it, it was a joy to work on (although a couple of those tiles tested every inch of me!) and it was not easy to part with. I delivered it today to be put under their tree. I think I will likely do the daffodil Dutch tiles to give them at some point, just so they have a set. Blackwork is testing my patience, skills and endurance but at the same time it is teaching me not to take myself and everything I do so seriously. If a hobby can make one a better person, then blackwork does that for me. Thank you, Clare.

Gorgeous pattern. I have just started it and really enjoying it. Nice to have blackwork and cross stitch in one design. I will be buying more to complete the set.

I love stitching, and I am addicted to gardening. This series of patterns - Dutch tiles with a variety of amazing flowers - are exactly fit for me. I just purchased Dutch Tiles with Crocus. But I am pretty sure that I will purchase all of them. As soon as done, I will post my humble finished project. Thank you Clare for beautiful addicting designs.

I have started on Dutch Tiles Crocus and I love the patterns of all the tiles. I am amazed how Clare keeps coming up with new ones! Just one little remark, not intended as criticism, but a matter of personal taste: I intend to switch Tile Nr. 5 with one of the others, since I think Nr. 1 and Nr. 5 are a bit too similar. Both have quite a bit of white in the middle, with a row of colour around them. I think the overall balance will be better if I switch them.

Love this pattern I have bought every one of this type, this one is my favorite so far very pretty it is a joy to look at if anyone is thinking about buying any pattern on this site you will not be disappointed you will keep coming back for more they are beautiful easy to follow and understand.
