This was the first Study that I stitched and I enjoyed it so much that I immediately bought several more. These are quick stitches and I love them! Of course I stitched in a dark variegated blue. Turned out beautifully.
Love the pattern! Clare's blackwork designs have led me to venture outside the sampler world into the modern! Great charts, wonderful and super fast communication.
This is the fourth study in colour I have finished, one as a gift for a friend, and the other three will become couch cushions for myself. I thought this would be a lot more difficult than it was, so it turned out to be just the right project to take to work on at the cottage, where I don't have a lot of space to organize myself very well. It is an easy pattern on which to develop a rhythm and long stretches of it can be done without constantly counting or referring to the directions. I think I probably say each pattern as I finish it is my favourite, but this one may just be! I used DMC 815 and 3808.
I did this for my mum, and it came out really lovely. I found it was really easy to find a rythym, going from the outside border inwards. Please note that it take 1.2 skeins.
Beautiful pattern, and very pleasant to stitch...
